Associate Professor Tabata specializes in Microbiology and Bioengineering and has been working on the development of hybrid cell reactors by integrating microchambers and microorganisms using optical lithography technology.

Prof. Tabata is advancing the technology with the goal of improving the production efficiency of environmentally friendly bioproducts by utilizing microbial reconstitution techniques.
