We believe that creating the future the world wants, requires changing how the world grows.
Ushio Hideki
Professor, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo
In recent years, the study of ecosystem dynamics, including interspecies interactions, environmental change and population dynamics, has become increasingly important for understanding the stability, resilience and sustainability of ecosystems, including those of humans, for conservation and management.
Professor Ushio aims to understand the biochemical, molecular, physiological, physico-chemical and evolutionary information biological strategies of various aquatic organisms, and to apply these findings to areas such as food, energy and environmental sciences to improve human health and quality of life.
