Institut Pasteur is a non-profit private foundation located in Paris, France. It conducts activities that contribute to human health based on its missions of research, public health, training, and development of research applications.

Institut Pasteur plans to establish the “Institut Pasteur du Japon (IPJ)” in Japan. An innovation center, the Planetary Health Innovation Center (PHIC), will be established under the umbrella of IPJ, in which the University of Tokyo and Institut Pasteur will collaborate with each other.

PHIC plans to strengthen international collaboration in a wide range of fields such as global health and life sciences, including international joint research and training for graduate students. Furthermore, PHIC will encourage startups and collaborations with companies. We will make it a place where academia and industry can come and go.
